Have you already tried to have a look at the grid in your region. You will
need the CVS Version. I know there might be a flaw in calculating the
x/y-position. You might see these flaws if you switch on the grid. I noticed
this at some places outside of europe. I think it's an error in one or both
functions.
calcxytopos (x, y, &lat, &lon, zoom);
calcxy (&posxdest, &posydest, clong, clat, zoom);
I know the functions work arround most of the earth, but in some places they
have problems. If someone can find out where exactly this problem exists
please tell me.

PS.: In the CVS Version you can type G to switch on the Grid.
