by pda mode you mean gpsdrive -x ? (that didnt help - the buttons look
cooler and i can move them but they arnt the right shape to put anywhere
nicely and the map doesnt stretch to fit the size of the window...
i also tried gpsdrive -r 1280 -s 800 but no luck
it seems that it goes to 1024x768 when i first launch it which would
look nice but its not maximized and with a small 12 inch screen its best
to take full screen mode to see stuff...
dont ever believe you arnt cool ;-)

Does switching into PDA mode help any? I have some screencaps posted
to my site at http://moose.ca. I find it usable in this mode.
I still have funky wide buttons but I can live with them since it is a
bit much to expect code changes to suit my purposes. Sometimes I
really wish I was a coder.

I have the dell 700m
it has a widescreen monitor (1280x800 resolution natively)
this makes GPSdrive look ugly
