Parallel Build Breaks with gal-0.19.2-r1

I'm running a dual athlon 1.2Gig MP system. Everytime I run with
MAKE="make j(>1)" for gal-0.19.2-r1 it fails, if I run with -j1 it is
ok.  This is for both default-1.0 and default 1.0-gcc3 profiles.
