It exports sliced audio chunks and generates a MIDI file which can be used to play the sliced loop. Alternatively, you can jam with it as soon as you've made slices using a MIDI keyboard or sequencer. Freecycle also exports AKAI S5000/S6000/Z4/Z8 .AKP files to be used with your favorite sampler, SoundFont files, and supports slice drag and drop from the application to the desktop. It can process the audio inline using LADSPA effects, as well as applying envelopes to seperate slices. Changes: The bugs on 64-bit platforms were solved. The source code was made GCC 4.3 friendly. The naming schema on slice export was changed. Minor bugs were fixed. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) URL: http://freshmeat.net/projects/freecycle/ - % - % - % - % - [017] - FreeDup 1.2-1 by Andreas Neuper (http://freshmeat.net/users/aneuper/) Mon, Dec 10th 2007 14:16 Multimedia :: Sound/Audio :: Analysis System :: Archiving :: Compression System :: Filesystems About: Freedup finds and eliminates duplicate files by linking them (deduplication), and thus reduces the amount of used disk space within one or more file systems. By default, hardlinks are used on a single device, symbolic links when the devices differ. A set of options allows you to modify the methods of file comparison, the hash functions, the linking behavior, and the reporting style. You may use batch or interactive mode. Freedup usually only considers identical files, but when comparing audio or graphics files, you may elect to ignore the tags. Changes: Since there are so many options, this release tries to simplify their handling. First, now you can use long options. Second, you are able to store your favourite options and retrieve later again by a name you like. The basedir option is needed to take full use of the stored environments. A third new option is a kind of fuzzy date matching, i.e. times must not be identical, but within an accepted range. This helps when due to network copies or other reasons the timestamps vary by a second or more. Man pages, etc are updated as well. Some unreported and rare bugs were fixed.
