About: astGUIclient is part of a suite of programs that are designed to
interact with the Asterisk PBX Phone system at a client computer level to
extend the functionality of your phone and system. The main GUI
application, astGUIclient, is a set of PHP Web-based scripts utilizing
Javascript and XMLHTTPRequest functions that work through a browser to
give realtime information and functionality with nothing more than an
Internet browser on the client computer. Another component included with
the astGUIclient package is the VICIDIAL auto-dialer, a list dialer which
can dial one-call-at-a-time or be put in auto-dial mode to act as a
predictive dialer. It can function as an ACD for inbound calls or for
Closer calls coming from VICIDIAL fronters, and allows for remote agents
that may only have a phone. 

Changes: System statuses, including the addition of status categories, can
be easily controlled. Several new In-Group features were added, including
music-on-hold, alert messages, and call times. Skill based ranking and
call routing can be done for inbound and outbound. Agent call routing
based on the number of calls taken today per in-group or campaign can be
done. The ability to copy the settings of an existing
User/Campaign/In-Group into a new one was added. The Transfer feature in
the agent screen was changed to allow for more transfer In-Group choices.
Available campaigns are dynamically displayed for an agent in the agent
login screen.

About: Bigloo is an implementation of the Scheme programming language. It
relies on an optimizing compiler from Scheme to C. Bigloo enables
connections between Scheme code and C code. It proposes many extensions to

About: Bugzero is a Web-based bug tracking, defect tracking, issue
tracking, and change management system used in a distributed team
environment to track software bugs, hardware defects, test cases, or any

About: Cosmo is the OSAF calendar sharing server. With your favorite

About: DBSight is a J2EE search platform for instant scalable full-text
search on any relational database, for both beginners and experts. It
features a built-in database crawler following user-defined SQL,
incremental indexing, user-controllable result ranking, the ability to
return results with highlights (like Google), and categorized result
counts (like Amazon). It can easily integrate with other languages with
XML/JSON/HTML. There is a UI for all operations, so no Java coding is
necessary. Deleted or updated records in database can be synchronized
also. 

Changes: Highlighting was fixed for the Chinese analyzer. The memory was
reduced for facet search for fields with multiple integer values (Keywords
type). The "Html Text" field type was added for avoiding HTML tags in the
text. Detecting the JDBC driver class with multiple interface inheritance
was fixed for Firebird JDBC. Memory usage was further reduced for facet
search with multiple valued categories. A possible race condition of
modifying column list was fixed. A possible shifted time for scheduling
jobs was fixed.

About: H2 is an SQL database engine written in Java that implements the
JDBC API. Embedded, server, and clustering modes are available. A browser
based console application is included. The database has strong security
features. Disk based and in-memory databases and tables are supported. 

Changes: Some server settings didn't work in the last release. The native
fulltext search was not working properly after reconnecting. In a few
timezones, some dates did not work when using newer virtual machines; for
example, 2007-10-14 in Chile. Using LIMIT with values close to
Integer.MAX_VALUE didn't work correctly. The H2 Console has been
translated to Ukrainian. An optimization for IN(...) and IN(SELECT...) is
available, but currently disabled by default. The SecurePassword example
has been improved.

About: The Linux Test Project is a joint project with SGI, IBM, OSDL,
Bull, and Wipro Technologies with a goal to deliver test suites to the
open source community that validate the reliability, robustness, and
stability of Linux. The project consists of well over 2000 individual
testcases and a test driver to automate execution of the tests.

Changes: Several network test cases have been updated to be run on
different subnet configurations. A lot of test cases were updated to
enable them run on NFS. The posix_fadvise, fadvise64, madvise03,
sendfile64, and sendfile04 test cases were added to LTP. Existing code in
LTP-Kdump has been enhanced to test dump on network and different
partitions, and IA64 support was added to KDUMP. An option to generate
more parsible output in HTML format has been added, along with automatic
mailing back of LTP reports. Several test cases were updated to suit the
GPLv2.

About: NoMachine NX is a fast terminal server and desktop virtualization
system based on the X11 protocol. NX is an order of magnitude faster than
VNC or X11 and can run on bandwidth as narrow as 10 kBit/sec. In addition,
NX translates and embeds the MS Windows Terminal Server  and VNC protocols
into X/NX, enabling users to compress and accelerate remote Windows and
VNC sessions. The NX project provides a suite of libraries and X11proxying
agents implementing efficient compression and optimized transport of X11,
SMB, IPP, HTTP, and arbitrary protocols like audio and video over the
Internet.

Changes: This release, besides providing some implementations aimed mainly
at improving NX Client for Windows, includes fixes for a number of
problems. Printing would sometimes fail when NX client is running on SUSE
10.2. NX client would try to check permission of a wrong IPP backend.
Errors would be shown in the CUPSD log when printing. The NX client for
Windows would set the wrong keyboard layout. The nxssh component was not
able to establish connections through proxy using HTTP version 1.1.

object-relational database. In effect, PostGIS "spatially enables" the

About: Rsyslog is an enhanced multi-threaded syslogd. Among other
features, it offers support for reliable syslog over TCP and RFC 3195,
writing to MySQL databases, fully configurable output formats (including
great timestamps), the ability to filter on any part of the syslog
message, and on-the-wire message compression. It is designed as a drop-in
replacement for stock syslogd and thus is able to work with the same
configuration file syntax. Of course, some enhanced features require
changing the configuration file, but in general, this should be fairly
easy. 

Changes: The build system was cleaned up and some errors in it were fixed.
The MySQL module is now also compiled with -pthread, which was missing in
1.19.11. An update to this release is suggested for users of 1.19.11.
Users of other versions do not necessarily need to upgrade.

About: Sudo (su "do") allows a system administrator to give certain users
(or groups of users) the ability to run some (or all) commands as root
while logging all commands and arguments. Sudo operates on a per-command
basis, it is not a replacement for the shell.

Changes: The ALL command in sudoers now implies SETENV permissions. The
command search is now performed using the target user's auxiliary group
vector, not just the target's primary group. When determining if the PAM
prompt is the default "Password: ", the localized version is compared if
possible. The passprompt_override option was added in sudoers to cause
sudo's prompt to be used in all cases (set when the -p flag is used).

About: Tokyo Cabinet is a library of routines for managing a database. It
is the successor of QDBM. Tokyo Cabinet runs very fast. For example, the
time required to store 1 million records is 1.5 seconds for a hash
database and 2.2 seconds for a B+ tree database. Moreover, the database
size is very small. For example, the overhead for a record is 16 bytes for
a hash database, and 5 bytes for a B+ tree database. Furthermore, the
scalability of Tokyo Cabinet is great. The database size can be up to 8EB.


Changes: The cache manager was enhanced. A bug related to overflow in
32-bit environments was fixed. A range search method was added.

About: VNCTracker keeps a list of hosts on various Internet accounts.
Rather than email or phone each user whenever you need a current IP
address for connecting with VNC, you visit the Web page generated by
VNCTracker that shows the updated IP address for that host. It will then
build .vnc files to easily start VNC sessions served via HTTP.

Changes: This release adds support for Dovecot POP3/IMAP logs, which is
set by default. There is some code cleanup.

About: Worker is a file manager for the X Window System with the classical
two panel interface. It features a fully graphical configuration, while
still allowing manual editing of the configuration file without the need
to restart Worker. Any external program can be integrated easily into the
GUI using buttons, hotkeys, and file type actions. Worker uses file
recognition by file content or by filename extension (or both). Different
actions with completely configurable commands can be assigned to each file
type. 

Changes: The chmod command has been improved to allow adding or removing
permissions, and the internal file viewer is much faster, especially with
word wrapping. There are some other minor changes, and the Italian
translation has been updated.
