Hi,
This is a problem that Fedora introduced. The kernel config files in the
sourcecode
and binary rpms differ.
David Lowe updated the build script to work around the problem. It now requires
the kernel binary rpm (which you already have) in the current directory. Then
run the build script as you did before and the new module should work without
the oops.
Cheers,
FlatCap (Rich)

[linux-ntfs - Help] Problem when changing from 2.4.21 to 2.4.26
Read and respond to this message at:
https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=2731913
By: nobody
Dear friends,
When I upgraded my kernel to 2.4.26, the ntfs driver (supplied together with
the kernel) stopped working properly with my loopback device. I use a large
file (about 400MB) inside a NT fs to read some part of my directory structure,
like /usr and /lib, and other parts a read from the net. With 2.4.21 everything
were working ok. I see that some changes were made in the code, since now the
text
"NTFS: Warning! NTFS volume version is Win2k+: Mounting read-only" appears while
starting.
I'd like to know if someone had the same problem and if there is a known
solution.
Thank you.
[]'s
cassio.
PS: 2.4.27 has the same behaviour as 2.4.26.
I didn't try from 2.4.22 to 25.
