Hi,

I was also curious what's the truth so I also implemented full file
creation and removal (and as a side-effect fixed many memory leaks,
corruptions, crashes in libntfs).

Unfortunately I can not reproduce the problem you described with ntfs-3g,
Windows always boots properly. So since Yuval couldn't reproduce it either
thus I think the problem might be in your code which was probably cleaned
up during removal of the test directory.

Open source ntfs-3g is already available since yesterday ;-)

To be honest, I'm also surprised that as a response for our gesture to let
Apple use our work for their like, they delay the code flowback to Linux
by one year as a "competitive advantage". That's not exactly what we were
promised.

Anyway, whatever Apple decides after a year, Linux already does have open
source, full read-write driver which can be kept improved by the community
in the forthcoming year as well.

So, after all this was indeed a funny story! ;-)

Best regards,
Szaka
