wacdump reacts on special buttons, but no X events are generated: msg#00054linux.drivers.wacom
Hi, I have an HP TC4200 TabletPC which has three soft buttons beneath the screen (for rotating the screen and other stuff). When i run wacdump or hexdump /dev/ttyS0 I can see that touching these buttons is registered. But under X, neither xidump nor xev notice any event. Everything else works fine. I just upgraded to Kubuntu Feisty, which uses wacom-tools 0.7.7.7 (tried 0.7.8-1 and 0.7.6-4, but same result). I know this worked under Kubuntu Edgy; touching these buttons were generating events as button 9, 10 and 12. I can't remember if I did anything special to make them work, in any case I didn't had to set anything specific in xorg.conf or run xsetwacom. It would be very nice if anybody has an idea how to get these buttons to generate genuine X events (which I can use with xbindkeys to start specific programs).
