Hello,

thank you for the quick reply.

The current revision is 1284.  Linux 2.6.22 support was added after
revision 1276.

Sorry, I'm still really new to linux and didn't found mention of a more recent revision than 1276.

I suggest that you trust the developers first, and then all unofficial
guides, unless you have a good reason to mistrust the developers.  In
that case, you may want to ask the maintainers of the documentation
first.

If some changes are not in the current code, there is normally a reason
for that.

Why didn't you try the latest revision?  Are you assuming the revisions
after 1276 are broken?  Why?

Again, I deeply apologize. There was no reason at all -except my ignorance- to use an older version.
I really trust and respect the work you have done / do / will keep doing.

I believe the best chance is to try the latest revision.  If you don't
trust the latest revision, you shouldn't trust any revision, because
there have been no formal releases of the code.

I assure you that nobody is trying to break the driver, but it's up to
you whether to trust me.

So now,  as I trust you :p , I updated to latest  revision and managed to "make" the driver.
After enabling it, my wifi network was detected.

I tried to use network-manager but it froze my notebook.

So after a reboot I disabled it and tried using "manual" connection.
I managed to connect to my wep protected network even with dhcp.
Thank you very much.

But I got a strange message in the log each time I change my wifi configuration.
(see the dmesg.log file attached)

Do you think it is due to the driver or the "beta" state of the gutsy ubuntu distrib?
(again, it is not to criticize your work! It is just report the problem if I can help)

Regards,
Typhoe
