Please don't use the HEAD branch of CVS, it's almost unmaintained now.  This
will change when the locking scheme of the driver changes after 0.15 release. 
In the meantime, please use the "for_linus" or "standalone" branch - they are
fully in-sync and maintained.

Yes, it's the new PCMCIA API.
