Hello,
PR> I wish I knew it myself. I have never been able to change firmware on
PR> my Orinoco cards. That's why I couldn't test 7.xx firmware.
I can't now change firmware.... Firmware updaters below 8.72 don't
want to downgrade firmware on orinoco cards, because they look for
different old drivers, different vendor name, etc, etc.
So, maybe you will implement such option like in linux-wlan-ng:
firmware will be downloaded to RAM from disk, not from Flash memory in
orinoco card. Windows for example do not use firmware from card, but
from disk. Linux-wlan-ng also download firmware from disk instead of
using flashed ones. This firmware is included in Windows drivers...
My orinoco-usb card will work under kismet - I need only to downgrade
my 8.72 firmware but I can't do it due to old firmware updaters (below
8.72) do not want to work with my card...
