Hello!

Please stop crossposting.

I believe I answered this question already. It's not reliable,
especially when channel scanning is used. This question was already
discussed in this mailing list many times.

I know.

Because nobody did it. I tried it and it didn't work for me. I had to
disable monitor mode for problematic firmware. If you can do it better,
please be my guest and post a patch against CVS that works properly.
But please don't overuse hard resets, or such patch would have no
chances to be accepted.

Monitor mode worked for me for Orinoco USB when I had access to the
hardware. It was the driver from CVS HEAD. It should still work.
