I haven't mentioned PCMCIA in my e-mail. Yes, I meant the CVS version
of the driver. I believe that the problem with channel scanning will
manifest itself in USB card too, but probably in a different form
(because of the semi-intelligent bridge in between).

What's the exact version of the firmware? Have you removed the check
for the firmware version?

I'm afraid you keep misunderstanding me. It's is not what I said. What
I said is that the driver is not maintained.

I believe you should downgrade to 6.06 firmware and use orinoco from CVS
HEAD. I'll appreciate if you try 7.xx firmware as well.
