Hi.
I have a Compaq W200 Orinoco-based network device.
I am using orinoco_usb from CVS:
orinoco 0.15rc2HEAD (David Gibson
<hermes-xT8FGy+AXnRB3Ne2BGzF6laj5H9X9Tb+@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>,
Pavel Roskin <proski-mXXj517/zsQ@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, et al)
orinoco_usb 0.15rc2HEAD (Manuel Estrada Sainz
<ranty-8fiUuRrzOP0dnm+yROfE0A@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>)
eth1: Hardware identity 0008:0003:0001:0000
eth1: Station identity 001f:0001:0008:003a
eth1: Firmware determined as Lucent/Agere 8.58
eth1: Ad-hoc demo mode supported
eth1: IEEE standard IBSS ad-hoc mode supported
eth1: WEP supported, 104-bit key
eth1: MAC address xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
It basically works well, except when for some reason the link status
changes and it reconnects, such as:
eth1: New link status: Disconnected (0002)
eth1: New link status: Connected (0001)
At this point, it doesn't work anymore, and I need to unplug the
device and replug it.
I tried to use orinoco with orinoco_debug=3 and orinoco_usb with
debug=1 to get more details about the problem, but it didn't show
anything useful.
I didn't experience this with a PCMCIA card, so it seemed specific to
the USB driver, or possibly to my USB device.
Is this a known issue?
Regards,
Hugo
