Correct. Also, it would be incorrect to interpret it as a regression in the
driver. The unofficial patches were never applied completely. The part that
was applied has no specific workarounds for 8.xx firmware. The workaround was
to reset the firmware on channel change. Maybe it's working perfectly for
others, but it wasn't nearly perfect for me. AirSnort with channel scanning
would eventually cause interrupt storm in the 8.xx firmware even with resets on
channel change.
If anybody wants 8.xx workarounds to be in the driver, please send a tested
patch. Testing should include running AirSnort with channel scanning for at
least one hour.
