i hope this is not too end-user'ish for this list.
im using the 0.15rc2HEAD orinoco driver and Im not able to get my bronze
card to associate. the output from dmesg and from iwconfig are here:

the firmware version is "stuck" at 7.52 because for some reason windows
will not see this card, so i cant run the windows utility to upgrade it.
the card does work in a different linux box.

ive tried setting the essid to 'any' - it doesnt pick up the local AP. ive
tried setting the essid by hand, it still doesnt associate - the mac
address of 44:44... remains.
any ideas? also kismet wont start, something about an iwpriv error.
