I've at least made a long overdue release of the driver. I hope this can get some more exposure and then be an even-more-overdue merge to Linus.

When are you likely to merge with Linus out of interest? It's a pain to have to patch drivers manually and the new driver seems better to me than the old one.

As far as I know. The merging is already underway. We are likely to see something resembling the current for_linus branch in 2.6.8 or 2.6.9.

Releasing 0.15 in the meantime would definitely help. There are some minor changes to be done to ensure that all the branches are in-sync and that the driver is compatible with the latest wireless extensions (in particular with regard to signal quality data). Compatibility with wpa_supplicant (802.1x without WPA) would be great if it's easy to achieve.

I tried to add firmware download for Agere/Lucent firmware, but the changes would be too heavy for this stage of development. Besides, I haven't seen any complaints about Agere/Lucent firmware in the last months. Considering that nobody cared to check monitor mode with 7.xx firmware, I feel free not to spend too much time on this issue before the 0.15 release.

I'll post status updates once I have a chance to recheck the driver with the latest kernel.
