[modules] Error 2

From what I understand /lib/modules/2.4.18-14/build (which DOES exist on my
machine) should point to the kernel source. Could it be that this error is
because it doesn't point to the kernel source rather than it doesnt exist? If
this is the case where can I get the source and where/how do I put it on my
machine? I have never messed with the source before so I am clueless regarding
the matter. I am planning on installing this driver, then patching it so the
card is capable of rf monitor mode. Is there a better (or easier) way to go
about this? I appreciate any help!

Monitor mode is very unreliable on Agere firmware 8.xx. See recent discussion in the mailing list archives:
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum=orinoco-devel

The easier way is to get version 0.15rc1, which includes monitor mode support.

As for the error message, you didn't provide enough context, and I don't understand your question. You can set KERNEL_SRC in the top-level Makefile to the kernel source you are compiling against if the default is not working for you.

If you don't have the kernel sources, you may want to install kernel source package from your distribution. Failing that, Linux kernel source is available at http://www.kernel.org/
