#714: Scanning does not work in pseudo ad-hoc mode ------------------------------------+--------------------------------------- Reporter: matt@xxxxxxxxxxxx | Owner: Type: defect | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: madwifi: driver | Version: v0.9.0 Resolution: | Keywords: Patch_attached: 0 | ------------------------------------+--------------------------------------- Comment (by matt@xxxxxxxxxx): I disagree It is still of interest to know about other 802.11 networks that are operating in different modes for the purpose of choosing a channel to operate on. Scanning is used for much more than just finding other nodes to associate to. I see no fundamental reason why the driver shouldn't provide this information to the user if it is requested. -- Ticket URL: <http://madwifi.org/ticket/714> MadWifi <http://madwifi.org/> Multiband Atheros Driver for Wireless FidelityUsing Tomcat but need to do more?
