#704: Planet 8310 Adhoc with another Planet 8310 breaks. ----------------------------------+----------------------------------------- Reporter: anonymous | Owner: Type: defect | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: madwifi: driver | Version: Resolution: | Keywords: Patch_attached: 0 | ----------------------------------+----------------------------------------- Comment (by anonymous): Broke means pings suddendly fail and I have to reboot both machines for pings to work again. The environment is my room :) Distance is about 1 meter at most. Link quality information derived from /proc/net/wireless shows Link=38, Level=199, Noise=161 all the time. I use madwifi-ng-r1645- 20060615. Now, that I'm writing here I run an other ping test. Cards set to Adhoc mode at 1MB/s. Ping requests/replies are almost 3500 so far. I think it's hardware stuff. The pentium 100 is on an old buggy mobo where I had to update it's BIOS in order to boot from the cdrom. Propably the machine can't respond to the load of bigger rates.. -- Ticket URL: <http://madwifi.org/ticket/704> MadWifi <http://madwifi.org/> Multiband Atheros Driver for Wireless Fidelity _______________________________________________ Madwifi-tickets mailing list Madwifi-tickets@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/madwifi-tickets
