SD Card Support

I noticed that the MMC Compatibility page says there is no SD card driver
support in u-boot. But isn't the boot device onboard strata flash for both
BasicX and Connex? Why then does it matter if u-boot supports SD? Can I
boot from strata flash and use SD card instead of MMC? Does the current
kernel have SD card support?
