While trying to install Debian on an 712/100 this weekend, I

module, and during attempts to mount, dmesg warns that "module xfs
relocation of symbol xfs_iext_destroy is out of range (0x3ffeffeb in

http://people.debian.org/~kyle/d-i/hppa/daily/netboot/2.6/boot.img,
which should be the 09/09/2006 version. The uname says that the
kernel version is 2.6.17-2-parisc, built Sat Aug 12 16:40:37 MDT 2006.
Is this a known issue?

It is, and has been fixed in newer kernels. Maybe the fix needs to be
backported to d-i...
