Well maintainers who do not want to appear there can remove themselves...
and they will effectively disappear at the next upload.

That is certainly reasonable and given that we all have SVN access it is not a problem to do.


I can understand however that you don't want to put your name if you're
doing QA work only and not maintaining it over time. Just don't add
yourself to the Uploaders field and forget about the lintian warning
saying that the NMU is not properly versioned.


I don't have an objection to having my name on it when I do the upload since I do bear some responsibility for any problems that I might not have checked as a sponsor.
