Busybox init will work fine without any startup scripts. See the init
entry here: http://www.busybox.net/downloads/BusyBox.html, which shows
you the default /etc/inittab if none exists. You can use this as a
base, and modify to your own needs. As for /etc/init.d/rcS, this is so
custom to everybody's setup, that a default script isn't really
practical.

Start scipts for busybox

I am new here and to Linux - so please bear with me if my questions are too naive. I am trying to use init and login from busybox for my embedded system, and want to know if there is some simple set of startup scripts that I can use and start with. I did a qucik search in the Archives (it was not thorough - and saw some discussions, but am still not sure how to proceed) Regards kapoor _________________________________________________________________ Rethink your business approach for the new year with the helpful tips here. http://special.msn.com/bcentral/prep04.armx _______________________________________________ busybox mailing list busybox@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://codepoet.org/mailman/listinfo/busybox

Re: Start scipts for busybox

Download the buildroot module from the CVS repository and look at the root filesystem. It contains a working filesystem that should show you how to setup everything. Just go to the "accessing cvs" webpage and do a "co -c" to see the modules.
