hdparm performance tests wrong!?: msg#00248linux.busybox
Hi there, hdparm in busybox-1.00-pre2 gives me ~ # hdparm -tT /dev/hda /dev/hda: Timing buffer-cache reads: 84 MB in 2.08 seconds = 40.38 MB/sec Timing buffered disk reads: 8 MB in 3.82 seconds = 2.09 MB/sec on my MPC8xx system. But my original hdparm.orig v5.2 shows ~ # hdparm.orig -tT /dev/hda /dev/hda: Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 6.35 seconds = 20.16 MB/sec Timing buffered disk reads: 64 MB in 27.39 seconds = 2.34 MB/sec which I think is (more) correct!
