problem with start-stop-daemon

Hi,

when I call the start-stop-daemon applet without passing the -s <sig-no> option,
I only the the applet usage. When I pass the -s option, the applet works fine.
I also can comment out the line

        signal_nr = bb_xgetlarg(...);

from the applet's main function to get it running fine.

Any idea? I am using bb 1.00-pre2 recently downloaded from CVS.
glibc version is 2.2.5 on a IBM405 PowerPC.
