about vi

hi

  I am a newbie of busybox. I build a system on my HD. And I can boot from it. It works well. But soon I got a problem. I can not use vi to edit(actally I can not view) any file. When I lunch the program lake

#vi test

it just show me a blank file while I can see the content using

#cat test

I think it may be a silly problem. But I can not find a good search tool to dig the maillist. So I turned to you guys for help.
