Subject: Re: errors installing demudi

Thanks for your reply. The hardware: gateway Pentium
2, 266 Mhz, which used to be a windows box but
nowadays runs knoppix like a champ (except no midi,
which is why I'm delving into demudi). I'm installing
the latest DeMuDi, 1.2.0 BTW.

The packages that failed are gsfonts-x11 gv
xbase-clients xfonts-100dpi xfonts-75dpi xfonts-base
xfonts-scalable and xserver-common

The thing is, I'm trapped in the debian base system
configuration menu, because when I select the
2nd-to-last item ("finish configuring the base
system") I see a VERY brief message
"update-alternatives: cannot find alternative
/usr/bin/gnome-session'

then when I cancel out, it brings back the base
configuration wizard starting from the beginning step.

BTW is there an md5 checksum for the iso I downloaded?
I couldn't find one on the agnula site. Just in case
my CD is corrupted, although this doesnt seem to
indicate a corrupted CD in my opinion.
