as root - post the output here if you need more help.

might also help

I added this line to /etc/alsa/modutils/1.0
options snd-intel8x0 mpu_port=0x330 index=0
obviously replace the soundcard definition with your own.

Be warned the DeMuDi-liveCD may have additional peculiarities.
