Netiquette for newbies: msg#00236linux.agnula.general
Little standard mailing list moan, This applies most to Daniel and Ze this week, but probably applies to others: I use threading to keep track of uh.. the thread, I'm guessing you don't have your email clients set up like this. It's really handy for me and probably others if you respond to previous mailings with the 'reply' button and thereby keeping the title (and thread) intact, this makes it easy to look back at the previous mails on the subject and remember what you were on about. Similarly it would be really good to start a new mail for all new subjects and not randomly jump in on existing threads with a new topic of discussion. I realise that this is all part of the learning curve and something you probably haven't figured yet. So, no biggie. It would really help me in being able to give constructive advice, I'm on several mailing lists and don't always have time to figure out where the previous mailing on the subject got to. cheers tim hall http://glastonburymusic.org.uk |
