I don't own such a card, but I heard in the past that was kind of
problematic. Have you looked in the alsa-doc section of alsa project
website under the details for the module snd-usb-audio?

THere are a couple of user notes that are specific to the quattro (in
particular, the message by Patrick Shirkey), try to use that advice adding
the required directives in the ~/.asoundrc file.

After you should be able to call the soundcard with the names defined
there.
