hi list

i still cant get sound out of my USB Maudio Quattro soundcard.

i can see quattro in usbview, but when...:

1. 
jackstart -R -dalsa -dhw:1 -r44100 -p1024 -i2 -o2
i get:
jackstart : pcm.c:690: snd_pcm_nonblock: Assertion `pcm` failed

2. in Pure Data i get:

snd_pcm_open (input) and (output): No such device

when i ask for proc in alsamixer i see both soundcards.

In gamix (mixer) when quattro plugged in and i try prog/config, it
(gamix) just shuts down.

i assume that Alsa understands quattro, but i lack right lines to hook
it up with jack or   just PD.
do i need some firmware?

ive installed kernel headers and checked with dpkg -l kernel-h*:
iU  kernel-headers 2.4.25-3.4     Linux kernel headers 2.4.25 on 386

i assume theyre installed or are they? Cuz when trying install nvidia,
installer still cant find source code. what does that `iU` mean?
