Hmm, I tried to install A/DeMuDi-1.2.0 on a very old PI earlier this week just
for a laugh, (it's in an AT case, so you can guess how old the machine is)
and it choked during the task package install just after preconfiguring
dictionaries-common/default-ispell (or at least that message) finally telling
me that it couldn't install kudzu. I just tried it again and it seemed to be
completing the install. I have some errors with the CD player not liking DMA
& USB (which is not surprising as the ports are broken) connect-debounce
fails, I know I need to disable this in the BIOS, so all in all, I'm not
expecting much out of this hardware. I'm interested to see what it _will_ do
and probably be able to sketch out minimum system requirements for various
important packages & tasks. Oh dear, now I'm looking at a stack trace on the
other machine, I think it's due for doorstop status. ;-] Please fill me in on
any known minimums.

This isn't honestly a big deal, I've got another half-a-dozen machines
arriving between P166 & about 500MHz with various amounts of memory. I'm
probably going to install A/DeMuDi on all of them initially, even if I end up
moving some machines over to Debian Sarge later. I won't be doing this till
at least next week, so I'll wait for the 1.2.1-beta release and let you know
how I get on. What fun! :-)

PS. The P166 may yet gain a pardon, I rebooted, disabled the USB and it
appears to have set up kudzu-knoppix OK now. So it's completed the install,
no X yet, but that can be solved.
