AFAIK you can't individually control reverb from fluidsynth, what you are
experiencing is fluidsynth working properly :). If anyone does work out how
to do this, please share your experiences on this list.

Hi All, Hi Tim,

Yesterday I was taking a look to the manpage for timidity and realized that you can tell it to play drums on any channel number. In principle I can't use timidity as a softsynth due to my transport / sequencer problem (thus I'm using fluidsynth) but this may be an option for controlling reverb and volume individually as discussed a couple of days ago? I need to investigate if setting a channel as drums implies turning #10 into a melodic channel or just that both (and any others you may specify) will be set. Hmm..

Cheers,

Alex
