uml and uClibc root_fs problems: msg#00177lib.uclibc.general
I'm trying to use user-mode linux with the root_fs linked to on the main page of www.uclibc.org (http://www.uclibc.org/downloads/root_fs-i386.bz2). After unzipping it and renaming it to root_fs I run linux. Everything seems to go fine until it stops at this line: Starting PCMCIA services: module directory /lib/modules/2.4.19-5um/pcmcia not found. It goes no farther and my terminal is locked. I'm running Mandrake 9.0 with the 2.4.19-16mdk kernel. Here is the full output in case I missed something: $ linux tracing thread pid = 17705 Linux version 2.4.19-5um (jdike@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx) (gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-81)) #2 Mon Sep 16 15:41:15 EDT 2002 On node 0 totalpages: 8192 zone(0): 8192 pages. zone(1): 0 pages. zone(2): 0 pages.
