Subject: finally back online

Hiya!

After having not read my emails since March, i am finally back online
for the forseeable future. :)

The s11n 1.3.x tree has been moved to Subversion, and SVN will be used
for future development. The 1.2.x tree will stay in CVS because i don't
expect to do more than 1 more release of 1.2.x and it's not worth the
trouble to move it to SVN. As part of the SVN port, i've started moving
some of the "sub-projects", which really have nothing to do with s11n,
out of the s11n CVS tree and over to my (new) personal web site:
http://wanderinghorse.net.

The 1.3 tree is likely to be under development for a long time, and i
don't expect to reach 1.4 until mid- to late 2008. i would really like
to rewrite parts of it to support different char types, to allow, e.g.
std::wstring and client-dependent string types (e.g. custom Unicode
string types). This unfortunately requires re-implementing all of the
Serializers (i/o handlers), which will be a huge amount of work and is
the biggest hinderance to adding this support.

As always, feedback and assistance are always more than welcome. :)

Apropos assistance: i'd like to take a moment to thank the kind folks at
Goshen Timber Frames (http://timberframemag.com) for their continued
financial support of this project.

Take care,
