OpenCV already includes libdc1394 wrappers, that you should be able to use out of the box (on linux/unix). Before compiling OpenCV libdc1394 and libraw1394 should be installed properly, then just call ./configure and look at the summary lines. Both libs should be marked with 'yes'. Have a look at opencv/otherlibs/highgui/cvcap.cpp to see how to use it with cvCaptureFromCAM. Yours, Mark -- Dipl.-Ing.
