cvblobslib and cvFindContours

Hi

Could someone tell me what is the difference between the BlobAnalysis
blob detection algorithm in cvblobslib and cvFindContours()?  Are the
CvSeq of contours created by cvFindContours() and the CBlob::edges
objects equivalent?  I would like to be able to be able to initialise
a CBlobResult object with the CvSeq of contours created by
cvFindContours().
