Actually, I like the integer queries. I don't see any sense in parsing what could be an arbitrary string and then working with the integers when you could just ask for the integers in the first place...that makes sense in the same way that providing alIsExtensionPresent() does, regardless of "The GL Way" of doing things.

But you _ARE_ right: it doesn't make sense to provide this for ALC and not AL...I thought we already did; perhaps it's just a spec omission?
