nss-ldap compiled on Sol 9

I was wondering if anyone has compiled nss-ldap 249 on Sol 9 with openldap or
native Sol 9 ldap?

I have set cpp lld and include flags to the correct directories, so the path
to object and header files are set; I even moved things around, and
configure errors with no valid LDAP directory found, I have looked at the
Make and configure files, and can not resolve this.

configure stops with "checking for main in -lldap40...... no. I do not know
what system file this is looking for a main in.
