SASL support was the thing that caught my attention when I heard about
this new luma version, that's why I went and tried it out :) There are
not many graphical ldap applications which support SASL.
I also tried SASL DIGEST-MD5, and that one worked. There were some
weird things in the server configuration interface regarding this,
but those were minor. The important thing is that it worked and
the communication was even encrypted (not just the password).
Since digest-md5 worked, gssapi could just have a minor problem. I'll
try to use python-ldap to do some sample binds with my openldap server
via sasl and then check the luma code to see if there is something
obvious and report back. It will be a good excuse to exercise some
python (nonexistant) skills.
