well, i figured it out. when i was compiling sip, my QTDIR
wasn't set, and it disabled support for QT. i corrected the
problem, recompiled sip, then recompiled PyQt again, and luma
runs fine.
i am using OpenLDAP 2.2.11, and can't seem to browse, or search
the database, i keep getting the following error in the console
window:
Reason: {'desc': 'Not Supported'}
i did see something similar on the mailing list archive, but
not totally related. i saw that you were using the 2.0.x and 2.1.x
version there, so i am trying to compile the 2.1.x branch now.
i have been unable to find specific documentation on "desc" other
than using it to describe a schema attribute.
if you would like, i'll let you know of my success using the
2.1.x branch of OpenLDAP.
thanks again, Luma looks great. i'm almost there. (=
