They should be more willing than vendors who change the kernel. After all, Infoblox isn't exposing any propietary information by making the kernel source available. More interesting, though, is not just the kernel source but the source to their dhcp and dns applications. Those are under the BSD license and I don't know much about that - I don't think they're required to make source available. FWIW, we're an Infoblox customer and the vendor has been quite good to work with.
