Discussion on ruby-core about documentation: msg#00012

Subject: Discussion on ruby-core about documentation
I jsut noticed that there is a discussion thread on the ruby-core mailing list about where an integrated RDoc tool should place documentation.

http://blade.nagaokaut.ac.jp/cgi-bin/scat.rb/ruby/ruby-core/1973

Not sure how one can contribute to the dscussion without being subscribed to that list; bascially, Dave Thomas wrote:

Folks:

The new RDoc/ri code needs to have a system-level directory on the
user's machine where it can store the documentation. Where should this
be? My current thinking is

    $prefix/site_ruby/<ver>/doc/rdoc

Does this fit in with current conventions?
