Hi folks,
Attached is the latest 'rj'. It is very alpha in terms of its
contained documentation, but its features are good. Well, they're
about as good as before, but should work on Windows (I've tested it)
and I've done a bit of refactoring to make it easier to progress from
here.
Apologies again for the large attachment. This will be the last time,
as I will be registering a RubyForge project for this soon. I just
wanted to get some feedback from here while I was on a roll. It's
amazing what a day off from work can do :)
It's installable now, using install.rb. Please test this aspect of
it. You can also run it from the place you unpack it with the scrpt
'testrj' (as long as you have /bin/sh).
The main step forward in this release is the --project option, which
causes rj to look for its data in the "project" directory instead of
the installed location. This will make it much easier for me to try
out new documentation. It was a headache because of global variables
and consequent timing issues - all of which are no longer.
Next step is to use the latest RImport to redo the existing stdlib
doco, and to generate more. That will be 0.3, and it will be on
RubyForge. Your feedback on all issues related to distribution
(licence, documentation, etc.) is welcome.
Cheers,
Gavin
