RE: How to Get Stock Quotes: msg#02985lang.realbasic.user
This would be a tedious and unnecessary solution, but it would work (on OS X) All installations of OS X come with AppleScript, and one of the example scripts is about fetching a stock quote. You could modify the script so that you pass it a four or three character code (the stock code) when it runs, and then the script would go look up the quote. Of course, this would mean running a compiled script as opposed to raw apple events, and so therefore you may get into a speed issue. HTH, Dave v---- I wish this stuff didn't get added :P ----v _________________________________________________________________ High-speed users?be more efficient online with the new MSN Premium Internet Software. http://join.msn.com/?pgmarket=en-us&page=byoa/prem&ST=1 - - - Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
