Shell result line length

G'day all.

I was fiddling a bit with the RB shell and eventually got it to work.
But I've stumbled over a problem that I don't have an idea on how to
solve:

I've setup a simple interactive shell, which lists the results in a
multiline editfield.

Doing a "ps -axl" gives the proper results. However, the shell seems
always to cut off the result lines after 80 characters, truncating
longer lines.

This is no good in my case. I want to check the command string for
certain substrings. And in some cases, these substrings are after the
80th character.

Is there any chance to get back longer lines in the shell result?
