Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

Tree EditLabel weirdness: msg#00041

Subject: Tree EditLabel weirdness
Hi again all, we're experiencing a strange issue with wxPerl 0.72 (w/wxWidgets
2.8.3) which we didn't have in v0.67 (w/wxWidets 2.6.3). We have a Wx::TreeCtrl
with a context menu, and some buttons in an adjacent panel. There's a context
menu entry "Create folder" which calls onCreateFolder. The button also calls
onCreateFolder. onCreateFolder adds a new item to the tree and then calls
->EditLabel which works fine when you click the button. However, when using the
context menu the item is added but EditLabel acts as if it never happened, or
happened but immediately ended. The code for adding is (basically - modified
for brevity):

        my $new_folder;
        if ($tree->IsExpanded($item)) {
            my $icon = $self->_iconlookup->{':folder:'};
            $new_folder = $tree->AppendItem($item, $name, $icon, $icon);
            $tree->SetPlData($new_folder, $node);
            $tree->SetItemHasChildren($new_folder, 1);
        } else {
            $tree->Expand($item);
            ($new_folder) = $self->_get_child_by_name($item,$name) or die;
        }

        $tree->EnsureVisible($new_folder);
        $tree->SetFocus;
        $tree->SelectItem($new_folder);
        $tree->EditLabel($new_folder);

I realise this may not be a bug in wxPerl but in wxWidgets - is there any way
this /could/ be a wxPerl bug, seeing as wxPerl is just a set of bindings? If
it's likely a wxWidgets bug then I'll see what I can do re: filing a bug with
them instead.

Cheers,

Matt
