Just unzip it in /usr/ports/x11-toolkits and build it as any other port.
I worked for me, I'd like confirmation it works for you, too. You can
adapt it to other wxWidgets versions (I used wxWidgets 2.4.2, Unicode,
GTK2, it should just need changing the dependency and the WX_CONFIG line).

The port above has a workaround for it, I should remember to put the
workaround directly in Makefile.PL. It just needs an additional flag to
Makefile.PL, see the referenced port.
