I recently (well, several months ago) did my first wxGlade based wxPerl
project. Initially I wanted to use XRC for all of the reasons mentioned in the
original post, but when I discovered XRC doesn't support wxGrid, that quickly
became a show stopper. I ended up outputting into Perl using 0.3.2 because
0.3.3 was having problems with wxGrid. I used tricks like Huub's (hooking
stuff off of the end of __do_layout, including additional object calls) to
enable clean regeneration. I used the wxGlade-0.3.2-setup.exe file that
installs everything needed for wxGlade on Win32 without having to worry about
installing Python and wxPython and everything worked out very well.
